Public vs. Private

WE ARE NOT a public organization, body, association, corporation, or group. The "public" is NOT invited to our meetings, lectures and study groups. Now, before you get bent out of shape, understand the word "Private" is defined in Black’s as "affecting or belonging to private individuals as distinct from the public generally. Not official; not clothed with office." Simply stated, we welcome you to join us, but that which you loosely call "government" may not follow you through the door if you cross the threshold. If you work for the government, you are invited, but again, you’ll have to leave your titles of office at the door. We want to meet the private individual rather than the public official.

Membership has its Privileges

WHAT WE ARE is a private club that pursues the goals of bettering the health and recreational lives of ourselves and our brothers and sisters. Freeing the mind, body and soul is the greatest path to good health. But being free is not a cliché and it is not some "intellectual" argument. Becoming a member is not difficult at all. One need not sign on as a full member to come to an informational monthly meeting. Any person who comes to the door of a meeting or a lecture is allowed to sign on as a "trial" or "guest" member for the purposes of attendance. You can come and visit us month after month, lecture after lecture and never have to become a full member. But when you are with us, you are a member and are expected to act like one. This means you must have a modicum of conviction to discovering the sovereign man or woman you are. You must have a respect for your fellow man. You must not harm others in their person, property or character. If you cannot abide by these simple guidelines, which are basic rules of life, you will be asked to leave and your membership will be revoked. Common Law Venue reserves the right to revoke or consider reinstating its members, trial members, and/or guest members.
